| Wildfire Finishes 7th in ASA State |

The Wildfire Fury played a great weekend of softball from May 23rd through May 25th. The ASA State Tournament was held at the Aurora Sports Complex and hosted the top 26 16A teams in the state. Throughout the tournament the girls diplayed great composure and awesome attitude. The team was sent to the losers bracket by the eventual champions, the Styxx, but managed to finish in 7th place with a 3-2 record. Way to go Fury.

| Weather Plays Factor In Stazio Memorial |

The rain shortened the games at Stazio Memorial on May 23th, 24th and 25th in Louisville. Nonetheless, the Fury played decent and finished 9th overall with a 2-2-1 record. The team enjoyed having Emily C. as a guest player for this tournament.

On May 16th and 17th the girls played in the ASA Junior Olympic Tournament at Clement Park. The team had some tough competition and ended up with two wins and two losses.

| Pony Express Tournament Yields 9th Place Finish |

The Wildfire Fury played in the Pony Express Tournament in Aurora over the May 1st weekend. The girls made some outstanding defensive plays and went 4-3 on the weekend. The team finished in 9th place.

| Fury Finish 5th at the Pike's Peak Invitational |

The team played in its first tournament of the year on April 25th and 26th. The Pike's Peak Invitational Tournament was held in Colorado Springs. The Fury ended up going 3-2 and finished in 5th place.

The Wildfire Fury had their first scrimmage of the 2009 campaign on March 8th. The team played for over two hours against the Ice. It was great to get outdoors on a very nice day.
